If you are a Cadet who is applying to or attending post-secondary education, you are encouraged to apply for any of these scholarship opportunities that are available to you.
The Karen Furstrand Memorial Scholarship is awarded annually to a deserving Lower Mainland Sea Cadet who is applying for or is already attending post-secondary education. The Scholarship amount is $1000, which will be paid directly to the post secondary institution. The scholarship is only open to Sea Cadets who attend one of the Lower Mainland Sea Cadet units, or to someone who has aged out from one of the Lower Mainland Sea Cadet units within the past year. Previous applicants may re-apply if they were not successful on their previous application.

Navy League of Canada – Rear-Admiral Fred Mifflin Memorial Scholarship
Each year, the Navy League of Canada issues one Maritime Affairs Scholarship valued at $3,000 to an active Sea Cadet entering an accredited post-secondary program of a maritime focus. Details: https://navyleague.ca/maritime-affairs/scholarships/
The Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Education Foundation, with the support of the Royal Canadian Naval Benevolent Fund, funds a variety of scholarships valued at $5,000, $3,000, $2,000 and $1000, including the Chief Petty Officer Jack Scholarship. The Young Citizens Foundation donates $5,000 annually to support a Sea Cadet pursuing higher education. The Navy League of Canada identifies and selects the recipient from the pool of Top Sea Cadet nominees entering their first year of post-secondary studies. The Cadet cannot be directly entering the Royal Canadian Navy, the Canadian Coast Guard College, or the Royal Military College. (NOTE: This scholarship cannot be applied for directly, only Cadets who are being nominated for the Sea Cadet Medal of Excellence / Top Sea Cadet will be eligible.)
